They should make a mod that is ONLY an overlay, that does not mess with the original code only watches it and puts a "sticker" on top of the score and levels to know what they actually are.

The beauty of him playing the game for fun and not being serious (aka what games were made for initially), and then needing to get serious because the challenge became harder, is gold.

Some ~30 years ago, I played classical handheld tetris from ~10pm till 4:15am, obviously the "speed" toped out at level 10. In the end I messed up by starting to doze off. The score & level had all 9 digits. P.S. kudos to my brother, who eyewitnesed it all and my dad who actually let us continue through the night in the kitchen.

I use to pretend I was the best Tetris player when I was like 6 or 7...like I was being watched by millions...and seeeing this brought that back....42 now...this was amazing to watch and now know is a reality. Nearly 6 years after this tournament, only do I now realize how insane the modern day of Tetris is compared to here. 700k into 29 was considered impressive, and a Max out in a tournament CTWC match by this point hasn’t even happened, compared to the near constant max outs, and anything below that was considered an “early” top out. Makes me appreciate how insane 2024 has been for Classic Tetris.
